IEEE AP-S SIGHT: Technology for Humanitarian Good

The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society’s (AP-S) Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology (SIGHT)
is a global network of volunteers dedicated to applying technology for humanitarian impact. SIGHT collaborates with underserved
communities and local partners to create sustainable, tech-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

Key Aspects of AP-S SIGHT

  • Global Network: A worldwide group of IEEE AP-S and IEEE society volunteers united for a cause.
  • Humanitarian Focus: Using technology to uplift underserved communities.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with grassroots organizations and local leaders.
  • Sustainable Development: Creating lasting impact with scalable solutions.
  • Volunteer-Driven: Powered by passionate IEEE members committed to positive change.

AP-S Committee On Promoting Equality (COPE)

Our goal is to mitigate inequality in gender, race, and geographical locations through several initiatives:

  • Knowledge dissemination via IEEE chapters
  • Transfer of technology know-how via the IEEE Smart Village Program
  • Emphasis on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education to grow human resources worldwide

Additionally, we strive to be good stewards of planet Earth and promote symbiotic coexistence with our environment.
